OUR BEER ATTORNEYS
Kerrin O'Connell
Kerrin is an attorney who has focused her practice on franchise transactions and intellectual property licensing. Prior to joining Drumm Law, she served as an associate at a law firm specializing in the development of franchise disclosure documents and franchise agreements for emerging franchise brands, and previously worked in the contracts department of one of the largest real estate franchisors. Prior to law school, Kerrin interned in public relations for an established retailer that partnered with a popular coffee franchise. Through this position, she developed an appreciation of the importance of brand development and management in franchising. She appreciates the importance of not only building a legally sound franchise system, but also advising clients on successfully growing their brands and maintaining positive relationships with their franchisees.
Kerrin attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick for her undergraduate degree and Rutgers University in Camden, New Jersey for law school. In law school, she focused on intellectual property courses and worked as a research assistant for her trademark professor. She also worked night and summer positions promoting beer and liquor brands. She first learned about franchising while serving as a law clerk for a franchise firm after graduation, and realized the field would allow her to build upon her interest in trademark law and her experience in brand management and public relations.
Kerrin lives near the Jersey Shore and prides herself on being one of the few college football fans in her group of friends. She also loves Eagles football, though she is still very confused that they actually won the Super Bowl. In her spare time, Kerrin enjoys exploring the local beaches, meeting friends in New York or Philadelphia, and hiking New Jersey’s state and national parks.
Kerrin lives in New Jersey and is admitted to practice law in New Jersey only.
