Melissa joined Drumm Law in 2016.   Melissa’s practice focuses on alcoholic beverage law, corporate issues and real estate transactions.  An entrepreneur herself, as a brewery and restaurant owner, Melissa understands the issues faced by companies in the alcohol industry, from start-up through large scale production and distribution.  In addition to breweries, wineries and restaurants, Melissa has worked with companies in the software, healthcare, medical device, biofuel, human resources, and franchise industries.  Her experience includes advising clients on entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, technology transfers, contract brewing, alternating proprietorships, commercial leasing, and a wide range of other corporate transactions.

Melissa enjoys getting to know her clients and watching the businesses they’re passionate about thrive.  Her goal is to provide prompt, personal attention to her clients’ legal needs, find creative solutions and offer strategic advice, so her clients can focus on growing their business.

Prior to joining Drumm Law, Melissa worked as in-house counsel for OpX Biotechnologies and Myogen, Inc., and as a corporate associate with the law firm of Cooley Godward.  Melissa received her law degree from the University of Colorado School of Law, graduating second in her class.  She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado as well, graduating with honors.

In her free time, Melissa enjoys biking, skiing, gardening, coaching youth sports, watching CU Buff football and basketball games and spending time with her son.

Fun Facts:

• Jennifer dreams of being a contestant on Shark Tank or Chopped.
• Jennifer wrote two screenplays (still awaiting that elusive seven figure offer).
• Jennifer was an avid soccer player before a pandemic-induced neck injury binge watching Netflix.
• Jennifer is obsessed with tiny homes.
